The Federation has three sets of rules in total:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/danil-hristich.com\/en\/fosfa-arbitration-general-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rules of Arbitration and Appeal<\/a> (standard rules incorporated into most FOSFA proforma contracts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/danil-hristich.com\/en\/fosfa-rules-of-arbitration-for-brokerage-commission-and-interest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rules of Arbitration for Brokerage Commission and Interest<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Small Claims Single Tier Rules of Arbitration (&#8220;<strong>the Small Claims Rules<\/strong>&#8220;)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Small Claims Rules are not incorporated into FOSFA pro forma contracts. The parties then agree on the name of a sole arbitrator within:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>14 days &#8211; if the dispute relates to the quality or condition of the goods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>30 days &#8211; in other disputes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If the parties cannot agree, a sole arbitrator is appointed by FOSFA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The parties agree on and file a common bundle of documents, which includes all the evidence in the case, as well as the parties&#8217; submissions, within:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>30 days &#8211; in disputes over the quality or condition of the goods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>without delay &#8211; in all other disputes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If the parties cannot agree on the bundle, the arbitrator sets a timetable for the exchange of submissions. The procedure then becomes similar to the standard rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the exchange of submissions, the arbitrator writes an award.
